Whisson Lake is the highest altitude commercial Pinot Noir vineyard in South Australia.
This steep slope in the Piccadilly Valley is home to around 15 acres of vines - all Pinot Noir. All the Pinot's are made using the traditional methods of Burgundy, with the only addition being minimal sulphur at just before bottling, and the vineyards are all organic yet uncertified. This flavourful and luscious 2020 Black Label is made with 15% whole bunch and 85% de-stemmed Pinot: "Juicy and vibrant red fruits with a hint of plumminess, fine tannin, and generous mouthfeel yet retains nice acidity to create tension and a textural finish." - Whisson Lake
