2021 Time Thief
Pozno is Polish for 'late', perhaps hinting at the relaxed approach of Pete Wood, who has done a fantastic job with these first ever releases.
Sourcing grapes from organic vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale and the Fleurieu Peninsula, Pete aims to make balanced and expressive wines, and we think he's nailed it. "Is it a red is it a white? Classic question. Red. But also, kinda both. 50/50 foot stomped Shiraz from high up in McLaren Vale, pressed with Muscat from over the hill in McLaren Flat. Born after one of those ‘wow’ moments you often have with wine from, say, Southern French heroes. An iridescent red with a pretty floral lift. Quenching and layered all at once. With the body of a sunset wine it’s more than that, always holding up well into the night, or morning." - Pozno
