The Lelarge family have been running a vineyard in Champagne since 1799, but everything changed when 7th generation Dominique Lelarge headed to Beaune to study viticulture and oenology and met his future wife Dominique Pugeot.
In 1985 the couple took over the winery and Lelarge-Pugeot was born. The Lelarge Pugeot vineyards are pretty special. Having been certified biodynamic since 2017, they planted 90 peach, cherry, apple, plum and almond trees throughout in 2020 to encourage biodiversity. This complex and elegant Champagne is made from 50% Pinot Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay, displaying citrus, apple, stone fruit, brioche, hazelnut and hibiscus. There's an impressive length and smooth texture - this is a top notch bottle from an amazing family run Champagne house!
