Lansdowne is a family owned and run winery producing cool climate wines from their single vineyard, organically farmed sites in the Forreston area of the northern Adelaide Hills.
Led by Tosh and Eliza, their goal is to make refreshing wines with a focus on soil and vine health, sustainability and organic viticulture. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is named after their elderly neighbour Rosa. Tosh occasionally helps with her garden, "and like Cabernet Sauvignon she's a classic, but fresh as a young rosé". Cherry and red fruit notes blend seamlessly with the pleasant savoury characteristics of this refreshing and wonderfully balanced rose. Beautiful stuff from Lansdowne!
