Gentle Folk's first vintage was 2013, which produced 3 barrels of wine and quite frankly caused a bit of a stir, because it was sensational.
Now producing significantly more, the wines are perhaps more refined but still sensational, and haven't lost the vigour and freshness of that first vintage. This Chardonnay is from an organic vineyard in the Piccadilly area of the Adelaide Hills. It displays lemon and citrus, lemon rind, ripe stone fruit and struck match. With creamy smoothness with an impressive acid backbone, there's also a lovely savouriness to this one. Gentle Folk, you're killin' it!
