Peter Dredge (Dr Edge) is considered by some to be one of the most exciting winemakers in Tasmania.
With experience at Petaluma (Adelaide Hills), Peter is now head winemaker at Meadowbank (an hour outside of Hobart) and started releasing some of his own releasing wine under the name Dr Edge in recent years, and with spectacular results. This is not your typical Riesling! Spending 9 months on lees in French oak, this is a unusually textural (for Riesling), but still with loads of fresh acid, and all these fruit flavours: melon, white peach, lime, grapefruit and apple. There's hardly any of this around, so if you want to see what Dr Edge is up to, this amazing Tasmanian Riesling is a great place to start!
