Sebastien Bobinet is from a 7th generation family of winemakers in Dampierre-sur-Loire, which is nestled in the region of Saumur.
In 2002, he took over 1.8 hectares of vines and the family cellar, and founded Domaine Bobinet with a plan to grow everything organically and make wine with as little intervention as possible. In 2011, he was joined in the vineyard and cellar by his partner Emeline Calvez, a trained sommelier, and together they have pushed Domaine Bobinet to new heights. This is a 100% Cabernet Franc from 60 year old vines on a tiny plot, and the name gives away that this is made using carbonic maceration. This is an absolute stunner with a medium body, a silky texture, Juicy cherry and strawberry, peppery notes and an impressive depth. Very special Cab Franc from this amazing producer!
