The earliest evidence of winemaking is an earthenware vessel containing wine that dates back to around 6,000 BC and was found in Georgia, a small country at the intersection of Europe and Asia.
It is here that two friends, Giorgi Tsirghvava and Mamuka Tsiklauri, founded Do Re Mi in 2014 and continue to make wines in this tradition using the traditional earthenware vessels known as qvevri. Made from a blend of native varieties Chinuri & Mtsvane (1 month skin contact) sourced from organically farmed vineyards, this is an earthy and savoury drop with a fresh acidity, medium tannin and a lovely amaro-like bitter character. Amazing example of modern Georgian wine!
