Koen Janssens was born and raised in Turnhout, Belgium. Becoming a hospitality professional and working in Michelin star restaurants led him on a hospo journey of discovery which brought him to Australia in 2012.
Here he met a number of fascinating winemakers and worked vintages with Jauma, Lucy Margaux and Spinifex. The Bink label was born in 2017 (Koen is also one half of winemaking duo, Yetti and The Kokonut), and he has been turning out some pretty impressive drops ever since. Koen describes this 100% Barossa Valley Chardonnay as a 'balanced style between fruit components (stone fruit and soft pear flavours) and wood influence'. Beautifully structured and one for the Chardy lovers!
