By 2003, self-trained winemaker/grower Alfredo Maestro had converted his vineyard to organic and eliminated the use of any chemicals in the vineyard and the cellar.
Over the past 2 decades, Alfredo has gained a reputation for his innovative minimal approach to winemaking as well as the complexity and originality of his wines. El Rey del Glam is a 100% Garnacha (the Spanish name for Grenache) that's been given the carbonic maceration treatment and aged in steel take for 12 months before bottling without the addition of any sulphur. It's a beautiful, powerful wine packed with red fruit and pomegranate flavours, a lovely earthyness and spice. Unique Spanish magic!
