Shiraz rosé has grown dear to my heart as I continue to look for ways to produce wine in a warming climate as well as how to use Shiraz in ways other than a bold table red. Garry has a small patch of cane-pruned Shiraz in his vineyard that we pick for rosé. The cane pruning helps us to get a really uniform ripeness and beautiful bright fruit character. Once in the winery, we use old oak, air, and malolactic fermentation to add complexity as well as notes of tangerine, watermelon, and some delicate florals. Vegan, unfiltered, unfined, only minimal SO2 added.
