Notes from the importer, Andrew Guard:
Beaujolais Blanc is very rare (only 3% of Beaujolais is planted to Chardonnay), and often that is a good thing because good examples are very rare too! Often insipid, thin and angular, one is left wanting... This is not the case with this superb example from Keke Descombes, made with fruit sourced from Pruzilly, it is immediate, juicy, fresh and very vibrant with notes of citrus and green apple, along with a moreish chalky mineral complexity, this is a wine to refresh and tantalise and could easily be slipped in as a Chablis or Muscadet replacement at the start of a meal.
